This listing is for the 10-tooth replacement configuration. Some original starters and other replacement designs in the same cross-reference family use a different tooth count.
Compare the original starter number, mounting, drive diameter and solenoid clearance. Do not assume a 9-tooth and 10-tooth assembly can be exchanged solely because a cross number appears in both catalogs.
SHOP TIP- BEFORE INSTALLATION Check battery condition, cable connections, engine grounds and the starter control circuit. A fault elsewhere in the starting system can cause poor cranking or damage a replacement starter.
