This starter DOES NOT have the starter solenoid mounted directly on the starter.
Onan used several different starter designs on B-Series and P-Series engines. Some engines use this 10 tooth PMDD starter without an attached solenoid, while other applications use a 9 tooth starter with the solenoid mounted directly on the starter.
DO NOT ORDER BY ENGINE MODEL OR TRACTOR MODEL ALONE.
Always verify the original starter part number, tooth count and whether the solenoid is mounted directly on the starter. Look at Pictures. If your original starter is marked 191-1255, 191-1294, 191-1527, 191-1529, 191-1567 or 191-1587 and matches the 10 tooth PMDD configuration shown in our photos, this is the starter family you are looking for.

Onan used multiple starters that may fit similar engines but have different tooth counts, starter designs and solenoid configurations.
This starter has a 10 tooth drive and does not have the solenoid mounted directly on the starter.
The Onan 191-1949-02, 191-1949-04 and 191-1949-05 starter families are different starter configurations and should not be assumed to interchange with this starter.
Whenever possible, match the original Onan or equipment manufacturer part number before ordering.
