It is recommended and extremely important that all Onan engines get decarboned at every 250-500 hours. Depending on engine use, oil consumption, operating engine temperature, carburetor adjustments and spark plugs, if you did not have good hot complete combustion, burning lots of oil, or rich running condition your carbon buildup can happen much faster. Not de-carboning or adjusting valves can lead to catastrophic engine failure, lower performance, and lower fuel economy.

Included in this kit we give you 1 aftermarket condenser. High-quality aftermarket set of points (we have tried many aftermarket points manufactures and options, and these by far we have seen the best results with and are far more economical than the expensive OEM option. If in the budget, we recommend OEM points. Current OEM points are NO longer the superior quality "Repco" points but they are good quality, OEM points and the option is available at check out to upgrade to them.
(WE do have a small supply of REPCO points for sale listed separately, note they are no cheap and very, very hard to find but we are offer a limited amount to those who want them)
Also, included is a high-capacity fuel filter, 2 top-quality NGK spark plugs, a high-capacity OEM Onan/Cummins/Fleetguard oil filter, high-quality air filter that is all included in our seasonal tune-up kit. In addition, you will receive the gaskets needed to do a decarbon and valve adjustment job. Included will be high-quality USA made to our specs, 2 intake gaskets, 2 valve cover gaskets, Carb to intake gasket and air filter housing to carb gasket, points gasket, And two very high-quality aftermarket head gaskets or you will have the OPTION to choose Onan OEM head gaskets at check out.
A Carburetor gasket for the halves is include so you can clean your carb too. These years machines with "DD Style" carbs should have the DD13 from factory, but someone could have swapped a DD11 make Note if You have a DD11. DD carbs have 6 inch Air Filters. OR if your tractor is a late model 226/4446/448 If you have a Nikki Style carb choose "early" or "late" for gasket (look at photos) Nikki use the large 8" air filter choose at check out. OPTION- add the grommet for the oil filter. It is a needed piece to keep your engine properly cooled and avoid catastrophic engine damage. It is an oil filter to tin/heat shield grommet. If you do not have one or yours is damaged it is a MUST HAVE item on your Onan.
PLEASE NOTE 5/2023 OEM CONDERSORS ARE NOT AVAILABLE, We are replacing them in our kits with quality AFTERMARKET condensers. These are the best aftermarket ones we have used and found. Also Acell spark plug wires have been out of stock for over a year, but we have found a great replacement of the same quality or better quality.
This kit includes what you need to do your routine seasonal maintenance, tune-ups, and major tune-up/decarbon/valve adjustments. This is what we use in our shop. The high-capacity oil filter helps with keeping cooler engine oil temperature, filtration, and oil contamination dilution, any time you can get more oil capacity in a small engine it is a great benefit. The spark plug heat range we select here for our kit we have found works best with today's gasoline. The OEM-owned fleetguard filter brand is the number-one filter company in the world. This kit is what you need to make your Onan "B" series run like new and stay that way. (Kit will work on most brands of tractors that have 'B' series engines B43 B48)

SHOP TIP: We recommend always running high octane, premium gas in ALL small engines and Case Ingersoll machines, and even better if you can get ethanol free. We have found a noticeable difference in performance and reliability/issuesSPARK PLUG GAP .025 - .030
Valve Adjustment Clearances: .005-.008 on intake; .012-.014 on exhaust are the clearances we use
POINT GAP: .021 for B M Series. BUT WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND timing the engine and setting the points with either a test light or using the timing gun method and your manual for your model. CLICK here to get to our video on this.
