It is recommended and extremely important that all Onan engines get decarboned at every 250-500 hours.  Depending on engine use, oil consumption, operating engine temperature, carburetor adjustments, and spark plugs, if you did not have good hot complete combustion, burning lots of oil, or rich running condition your carbon buildup can happen much faster. Not de-carboning or adjusting valves can lead to catastrophic engine failure, lower performance, and lower fuel economy.
 
Onan 'B' Series Master Tune Up/Decarbon/Valve Adjustment, Ignition and Filter Kit,Included in this kit is an 2 aftermarket condensers  and High-quality aftermarket set of points (we have tried many aftermarket points manufacturers and options, and these by far we have seen the best results with and are far more economical than the expensive OEM option. Current OEM points are NO longer the superior quality "Repco" points but they are good quality for sure. OEM points  option is available at check out to upgrade to them. 
 
Also included are a high-capacity fuel filter, two top-quality NGK spark plugs, and a high-quality air filter that is all included in our seasonal tune-up kit.  In addition, you will receive the gaskets needed to do a decarbon and valve adjustment job.  Included will be high-quality USA made to our specs 2 intake gaskets, 2  valve cover gaskets, Carb to intake gasket and air filter housing to carb gasket, points gasket, a DD11 or DD13 carb gaskets so you can clean your DD Style carb as well. And two very high-quality aftermarket head gaskets, or you will have the option to choose Onan OEM head gaskets at check out. 
**PLEASE NOTE 5/2023 OEM CONDERSORS FOR "TOP LOAD" POINTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE, they are currently on national backorder with no ETA. We are replacing them in our  kits with TWO AFTERMARKET condensers for top load points set ups. These are the best aftermarket ones we have used and found. We will offer OEM ones if and as soon as they become available.*** Also the Accel wire has been out of stock for over a year now but we use a very good wire of the same quality.
 
This kit includes what you need to do your routine seasonal maintenance, tune-ups, and major tune-up/decarbon/valve adjustments.  This is what we use in our shop. The spark plug heat range we select here for our kit we have found works best with today's gasoline. This kit is what you need to make your Onan "B" series run like new and stay that way.  (Kit will work on most brands of tractors that have 'B' many BF and B43M, B48Mseries engines)
 
NOTE:
 Measurements on the air filter: Height 3 inches, ID 4 5/8 inches,  OD 6 inches; Measure your air filter dimensions to ensure correct fitment.
 
NOTE- 
Choose What Model DD Carb You Have, in the Question AT Check Out.  Look at photos to determine if you have a DD11 or a DD13 Carb.

SHOP TIP: We recommend always running high octane, premium gas in all Case Ingersoll machines, and even better if you can get ethanol free.  We have found a noticeable difference  in performance and reliability/issues
 
SPARK PLUG GAP .025 - .030
 
Valve Adjustment Clearances:  .005-.008 on intake;  .012-.014 on exhaust are the  clearances we use
POINT GAP:  .021 BUT WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND timing the engine and setting the points with either a test light or using the timing gun method.  CLICK here to get to our video on this.
