Case Ingersoll 646 TRUE Commercial Mini Loader This is a REAL mini bucket loader. Not a garden tractor with a loader slapped on it. Not an overpriced compact tractor that struggles to pick up a few hundred pounds. And definitely not the plastic junk they're selling today. The Case Ingersoll 646 was purpose-built from the ground up to be a loader and backhoe machine. Originally designed and built by the legendary CASE Construction Equipment company and later produced by Ingersoll, these machines have earned a reputation for doing work far beyond what most people think a machine of this size is capable of. This presentable, working machine. Not a trailer queen or museum piece, but a solid, honest loader that has clearly been cared for. A Basic tune-up and service will de done before sale as well as all fluids changed and a new seat. Its had the rare optional holding valve for steep hill operation. Runs strong, operates great, but we have not gone through it and is priced as such. most times we sell 646 $6500 to $9000. It could use some TLC here and there like some wiring and maybe a hose or too but none seem to leak right now. The engine was replaced at some time. We removed the heat sheld to tighten a wire and will put it back on. Let's be honest here. This is not a new machine. It has age. It has been used. But it also isn't $30,000-$40,000 like the machines you'd have to buy today to get comparable capability. Even then, most of the new stuff isn't built half as heavy as these American-made commercial-duty loaders. Unlike garden tractors with loaders bolted on as an afterthought, the 646 was designed around its hydraulic system and built in loader frame. These machines have massive hydraulic capacity for their size, comparable to what you'd find on many 30-50 horsepower tractors. With proper rear ballast, these loaders are incredibly capable. They can lift roughly 700 pounds at full height and approximately 1,250-1,500 pounds near ground level. That's serious lifting capability from a machine with a small foot print! Add wheel weights, loaded tires, chains, or all of the above, and these machines become absolute animals. This one has a weight box with it. Many owners run pallet forks, grapple buckets, brush buckets, and all sorts of custom attachments. The optional rear PTO valve allows operation of hydraulic tillers, brush mowers, wood splitters, wood chippers, Harley rakes, and much more. A 3-point hitch can also be added. Another huge advantage is weight. These machines are much lighter than a skid steer, meaning they won't tear up lawns, yards, or finished ground nearly as badly while still offering impressive lifting and hydraulic capability. The people who own these machines tend to keep them for decades. Most aren't interested in selling them because they know what they have. They are built to work, built to last, and built in the USA when equipment was still built with the expectation it would still be working generations later.
