We've owned this machine for a few years and know the history on it.The original owner ran a construction and trucking company in New York and had a habit of buying a brand-new tractor every year. Different brands, different models. He'd mow with them for a season, then park them inside a massive barn. This 446 was one of those tractors.This machine is unbelievably original. The only wear it really shows is from sitting in a barn for the last 40-plus years. It still had the ORIGINAL air filter from 1982 when we got it! The paint is still on the foot pads and pedals, which is usually one of the first places these tractors show wear.This is a loaded machine with a 3-point hitch and rear PTO valve for running tillers, brush hogs, chippers, wood splitters, and many other attachments. When we bought it, the rear tires still had the factory molding knobbies on them, and some are still visible today. We have only put about 5-8 hours on it since owning it and were told it had roughly 20 hours on it when we purchased it.Power comes from the legendary industrial-grade Onan 16 HP twin-cylinder engine. It starts easy, runs smooth, and has plenty of power. The tractor has received a full professional tune-up and service, including all fluids and filters changed.Let's be honest. They simply don't build them like this anymore.These are not the stamped steel, plastic-covered, disposable lawn tractors being sold today. These are ALL-STEEL, USA-built, hydraulic-drive machines built when equipment was designed to work, not just survive until the warranty expires. You can spend $20,000+ on a new machine today and still not get the capability, durability, or attachment options these tractors offer.
